An exciting position has arisen to support the service and sales of the Cranial Spine portfolio that includes Spinal & Cranial navigation, imaging, robotics and technical equipment support as a Technical Consultant. You will have responsibility for technical and clinical implant & equipment support in operating theatres, training of theatre staff and inventory management.
In this role you can expect to be in operating theatres 4/5 days a week supporting neurosurgical cases and spinal procedures with implants and enabling technology and as a result, candidates needs to have a good understanding of technology.
Responsibilities
* Provides clinical and technical support to the clinical team in theatres for cranial & spine cases.
* Responsible for territory case coverage and support of intraoperative sales.
* Provides troubleshooting support to field sales force and customers.
* Participates in the development of employee and customer training/education programs.
* Participates in and supports regional events such as Congresses or Customer Events.
* Ensures inventory is maintained at its optimal level as per guidelines.
* Identify ways to impact at scale and deliver outcomes with the highest standard of patient safety, quality, and ethics.
* Supports marketing and sales in the introduction and market release of new products.
* Lead generation for new sales and Large Capital equipment support / breakfix.
Key Points:
* This is primarily Dublin based but full country coverage is needed on occassion (Belfast, Cork, Galway, etc).
* Ability to diagnose equipment when it is not working is a key component of this role
* Ideally you will have a base level degree – degree in engineering, radiography, business, physiotherapy will be looked on favourably.
* Having prior experience working in a theatre environment is desirable but not a requirement.
* Have the ability to work independanty and be in the theatre on your own.
* You will get good training and shadowing a current technical consultant for first 1-2 months.
* Neuro or spine theatre background would be great, orthopoedic background advantageous.

* Technical savvy and technical minded
* Level 8 degree in scientific, medical or engineering degree
* Medical Device experience
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role
