Job Overview
The Senior Credit Manager role involves assessing and proactively managing credit within the development funding loan portfolio.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a track record of carrying out detailed assessments of development funding loan proposals, identifying risks and risk mitigants with a strong emphasis on delivering high service standards, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing internal policies and procedures.
* Credit Risk Management: Support the lending team in assessing, evaluating, and structuring credit applications in line with credit policy.
* Carry out detailed second-line assessment and interrogation of credit proposals to ensure the highest standard of credit analysis and make recommendations to the appropriate sanctioning authority.
* Contribute to the ongoing monitoring of the loan book through the drawdown process, account reviews, and review of KPI reports.
* Identify early indicators of stress in the portfolio and support the lending team with any required work-out plans. Contribute to the impairment review of the loan book in line with impairment policy.
* Ensure required cooperation with internal and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
A minimum of 4-6 years' experience in credit risk management in a financial institution with a proven track record in assessing credit proposals for residential funding proposals.
Proven ability to critically analyse and evaluate credit risk in a residential funding environment.
Strong knowledge of lending agreements, covenants, and security requirements.
Good understanding of relevant financing models and data with an ability to review, understand, and interpret audited financial accounts and financial forecasts.
Demonstrated sound commercial judgment and market awareness.
Extensive knowledge of the residential property development market in Ireland.

Qualifications
A third-level qualification preferably in credit, banking, or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualification.
