Post Summary Applications are invited for this position, which will support the clinical and educational activities of the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) at Trinity College Dublin and St James's Hospital.
GBHI works to improve brain health and reduce the scale and impact of dementia worldwide by training the next generation of Atlantic Fellows in Equity in Brain Health, as well as by supporting excellent and innovative clinical services (/).
The successful candidate will be expected to spend approximately half of their working week undertaking clinical activities (i.e., five clinical sessions).
The Lecturer Registrar in Global Brain Health will contribute to the delivery of existing and innovative brain-health–related clinical services in St James's Hospital, working closely with allied health professionals and other relevant services.
The remaining half of the working week will be dedicated to teaching and educational activities, including delivering the annual programme of Clinical and Lived Experience (CLE) rotations undertaken by Atlantic Fellows in Equity in Brain Health (Atlantic Fellows) at St James's Hospital and other clinical sites.
Clinical and teaching responsibilities may be conducted simultaneously (e.g., Atlantic Fellows attending clinical services as part of their CLE activities).
The Lecturer Registrar will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate course development and delivery in areas relevant to brain health.
The successful applicant will report to the GBHI Site Director at Trinity College Dublin (or their designate).
This appointment is offered on a one-year fixed-term contract with the potential for renewal for up to a maximum of three years.
The position will be available from 13 July ****.
The successful candidate must complete all relevant pre-employment checks upon commencing the post, including but not limited to: registration with the Irish Medical Council, Garda vetting clearance, and occupational health clearance by St James's Hospital.
Post status: The appointment is offered on a one-year fixed term contract basis.

This role is designated as a specifically designed training position for medical doctors.
The nature of the role is intended to provide structured learning and development within a defined period, after which the employee is expected to progress to the next stage of their career.
As such, the role is not intended for long-term employment beyond the duration of the training program.
The post is not being offered on a permanent basis as the training program is finite.
Salary: This appointment will be made on the HSE Registrar scale €68,891 - €81,126 per annum scale or HSE Specialist Registrar scale €77,234 - €96,158 per annum in line with current public pay policy.
Hours of Post for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
