Contract Type: Permanent Full Time. Contract Hours: 35 hours per week. Salary Scale: €96,057 to €112,908 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to Long Service Increments (LSI). This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.Overview of the PostEnable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Psychology services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have:Essential CriteriaHave a university degree or diploma (QQI level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subjectHave an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational PsychologyOr an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of HealthDemonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied forApplicants must have at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, with specific requirements on time spent in training and post-qualification experience as detailed in the original textApplicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate appropriate health setting experience (e.g., disability areas) with either 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements or post-qualification supervised work experience; note on requirementsOr applicants with an educational psychology qualification must demonstrate 60 days or equivalent supervised placements or post-qualification supervised work experience; note 2 appliesMust be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS)Candidates must have current eligibility to work in the stateValid driving licence for within the state/jurisdiction with access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical areaDesirable CriteriaPrevious experience in a senior postExperience of inter-disciplinary team workingSkills and competencies with assessment and intervention for mental health needs in children/young people with disabilitiesExperience of working with children aged birth to 18 years with disabilities (including physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their familiesExperience and qualification in completing diagnostic work-ups including ASD, Developmental Delay and Intellectual DisabilityHow to ApplyIf you believe you would fit the role, please submit your application today.
