Design Engineer Location: Mullingar, Westmeath €50,000 About the Role We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our engineering team.
This role will involve the design, development, and improvement of mechanical components and manufacturing processes, supporting projects from concept through to production.
The position offers excellent exposure to design engineering within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation Use CAD software to create 2D and 3D models Support manufacturing teams with design-for-manufacture (DFM) solutions Participate in design reviews and technical problem-solving Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on technical matters Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and specifications Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline Strong understanding of mechanical design principles Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD) Good problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Strong communication and organisational skills What We Offer Competitive salary package (DOE) Supportive engineering team and mentoring Opportunities for training and professional development Long-term career progression within the company What's next Click "Apply Now" to submit your application and we will be in touch asap for our initial screening.
