Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our organization. This is a key role that will drive awareness, engagement, and improvement throughout the company in the areas of Health, Safety, and Welfare.
* Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
* Maintain accurate records of examinations and conduct regular safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
* Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement corrective actions following incidents or accidents.
* Design and deliver presentations, training programs, and toolbox talks to promote health and safety awareness among employees.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives.
For this position, we require:
* A degree-level qualification with a diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar H&S management role, preferably within the construction materials, quarrying, or heavy industrial sector.
* Knowledge of industrial processes and systems.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong IT skills.
