Our client, a private Healthcare Group based in Dublin 5 that provide rehabilitation and reablement, complex care management and transitional & step-down care for patients discharged from hospital are looking to hire a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing/ Nurse Practice Development Coordinator to support the Director of Nursing and their clinical and care team.
Key Duties:
 1. Maintain and improve high standards of nursing care and to plan, develop, and review projects that strengthen nursing practice.
 2. Support the development and updating of nursing policies and procedures to meet best practice and regulatory standards.
 3. Function as the Person-in-Charge when required, in line with the Health Act 2007 and HIQA standards.
 4. Complete all required HIQA notifications and reports accurately and on time.
 5. Delegate tasks appropriately, considering staff competence and experience.
 6. Ensure compliance with all legal, professional, and regulatory standards.
 7. Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
 8. Monitor and review care standards regularly through audits and feedback.
 9. Identify and address gaps in training, procedures, and service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
 10. Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
 11. Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
 12. Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) with a relevant NPD qualification
 13. Post-registration qualification in Caring for People with Dementia.
