The purpose of the job is to act as part of the management team. The role of the Housing Manager is to lead and manage a staff team in the provision of the Housing Management and Maintenance service in your area of responsibility.
What You Will Do
* Manage staff performance, uphold best practices in human resources, and ensure compliance with employment laws.
* Achieve strategic goals through team leadership and exploring opportunities to add value.
* Ensure high staff efficiency via training, supervision, and motivation.
* Plan staff schedules and coordinate maintenance activities.
* Monitor performance indicators and implement action plans accordingly.
* Support staff to foster teamwork and create a harmonious environment.
* Handle administrative processes related to staff and ensure timely documentation.
* Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic development.
Financial Responsibilities
* Develop and manage budgets, forecast requirements, and analyze variances.
* Maintain accurate transaction records and submit reports timely.
* Manage vendor relations, billing, and invoices.
Administrative Responsibilities
* Implement procedures for efficient workflow.
* Ensure property and resident files are maintained accurately.
* Lead emergency response efforts for all properties.
Housing Management & Maintenance
* Implement and review housing policies and procedures.
* Manage rent setting, collection, and arrears.
* Oversee property maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Health & Safety
* Coordinate and review health and safety compliance across sites.
* Lead safety initiatives and participate in safety committees.
Other Duties
* Promote Focus Ireland positively and adhere to organizational policies.
* Collaborate with the team and participate in training.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification in Housing Management, Property, or relevant field.
* Experience in social housing and leadership skills.
* 2-4 years management experience, with strong project and budget management skills.
* Excellent communication and attention to detail.
* Full clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
