This includes appropriate meals, between meal nourishments, and special formulas required by each individual patientEssential FunctionsProvides nutrition assessment of patientsProvides diet counseling to patients which includes education, discharge information, tracking, menu selection, etc.Assesses patient calorie counts, % of food consumed by patient, conducts meal round, diet restriction monitoring, etc.Maintains pertinent recordsRequired for All JobsPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsDoes this position require Patient Care (indirect/direct)? QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required orAssociate's Degree Dietetics preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? NoLicenses and CredentialsDietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) preferred Experiencedietician experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesGood communication skills.High level of service delivery.Attention to detail.Computer proficiency.
