The Challenge: Own the Delivery and Drive the Standards
As the Client's on-site representative, you will hold the construction management company and all sub-contractors accountable for delivery across every dimension.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Client Representation:
Act as the
Client's voice
on site, attending all essential meetings and ensuring expectations for safety, quality, cost, and schedule are met or exceeded.
* Integrated Monitoring:
Oversee, monitor, and coordinate all
Construction (CSA), Mechanical, Electrical, and Process (MEP)
works, ensuring seamless integration between all trades.
* Safety Leadership:
Drive the construction safety agenda, ensuring rigorous compliance with
EHS protocols
and fostering a proactive, safety-first culture on site.
* Project Control:
Manage and track multiple concurrent scopes, proactively identifying in-scope/out-of-scope issues and taking swift corrective action.
* Technical Authority:
Engage in
schedule, cost, and quality control
, challenging proposals from the Construction Management team and contractors with technical confidence.
* Live Facility Management:
Expertly manage and coordinate work within
live operational facilities
, ensuring existing operations remain entirely unaffected.
* Documentation & Handover:
Coordinate and review all handover documentation, including
commissioning, snagging, and pre-startup checklists
.
* Communication & Reporting:
Provide clear, concise, and regular project updates to all internal and external stakeholders.
* Full Ownership:
Take complete accountability for driving progress and guaranteeing
delivery excellence
across all MEP elements.
What You'll Bring: Skills & Experience
This role is for a seasoned professional. You must be comfortable leading from the front and solving problems independently.
* Proven Track Record:
Proven experience as a
Senior MEP Coordinator
or similar role on construction projects
valued at over €30 million
.
* Experience:
A minimum of
8+ years
of relevant experience in MEP and construction project coordination.
* Technical Expertise:
Strong, in-depth knowledge of
MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning
.
* Environment Knowledge:
An essential understanding of
construction safety and working within live operational facilities
.
* Project Control Mastery:
Excellent project controls knowledge covering
schedule, cost, and quality
control.
* Action-Oriented:
Demonstrable ability to
drive action, resolve issues independently
, and manage multiple work fronts/contractors concurrently.
* Communication:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to
influence, lead, and collaborate
effectively.
* Documentation Skills:
Experience in managing handover packs, pre-startup controls, and the snagging process.
* Flexibility:
Must be comfortable being
on-site full-time (5 days per week)
, with necessary availability to support out-of-hours and weekend works for supervision.
