With a strong presence across the Irish market, the business continues to strengthen its position within the Construction and Engineering sectors.
This is a field-based role covering the Northern Counties within the Republic of Ireland and all counties within Northern Ireland.
The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving regional growth, developing strategic customer partnerships, and identifying new opportunities to expand market share.
Roles and Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across the Construction and Engineering sectors Identify and secure new sales opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation activities Create and implement robust business development plans for key accounts within the assigned territory Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to ensure alignment with supply chain and production teams Promote the company's value proposition, products, and services to maximise upsell and cross-sell opportunities Maintain accurate daily updates on enquiries, quotations, and orders using CRM and ERP systems Provide monthly performance and business development reports to senior management Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making Support additional ad-hoc projects and business initiatives as required Essential Criteria and Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience in a Business Development Manager or similar role within the Construction and/or Engineering sectors Strong understanding of the Irish marketplace with an established professional network desirable Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and delivering revenue growth Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills Strong organisational and communication abilities with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and ERP systems.
