Donegal Golf Club – Accounts assistant/Bookkeeper
A fantastic opportunity to join the team in Donegal Golf Club as an Accounts assistant/Bookkeeper. Donegal Golf Club is located in a beautiful setting in Murvagh and the successful candidate will join a small team of dedicated employees and volunteers in the administration of this magnificent members owned club. The working environment is very different to the usual office role and coming to work will feel like a pleasure.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will enjoy working independently and be willing to take ownership of their area while enjoying being part of the overall team and contributing to the overall achievement of the club aims.
Attention to detail and high reliability and integrity will be key.
They will be expected to have experience in a similar role including the use of accounting and payroll systems such as Sage and Brightpay or equivalent systems and be proficient in MS Office.

Position is Monday – Friday on site, flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Handle the day to day transactions of the club eg
* Shop/bar lodgements
* Supplier invoices and payments
* Member subscriptions
* Process weekly payroll for all Club employees.
* Complete Paye and Vat returns as needed
* Assist the GM with ongoing club management tasks
* Develop and maintain the club budget
* Complete Grant applications and other government supports
* Identify costs controls and overruns
* Other tasks as required
Requirements:
* Min 3 yrs experience, Accounts Technician qualification is a plus.
* Proficient in MS Office, MS Word and Excel.
* Experience using SAGE and Brightpay or equivalent.
* A can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A self-starter with the ability to initiate and complete projects.
