Aran Sweater Market is seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our Galway Store. In this role, you'll work closely with the Site Manager to lead a high‑performing team, achieve sales goals, and uphold the exceptional standards our brand is known for. Key Responsibilities
Driving Sales & Performance: Partnering with the Store Manager to meet and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and performance benchmarks; analyzing sales data to create actionable strategies that motivate the team to achieve results.
Marketing & Visual Merchandising: Executing marketing campaigns and ensuring compliance with visual merchandising guidelines; creating attractive displays to enhance customer engagement and boost sales.
Team Leadership & Development: Coaching and mentoring staff to enhance their skills in sales, customer service, and product knowledge; building a positive and motivated team culture focused on achieving consistent results.
Compliance & Store Standards: Ensuring adherence to store policies and addressing any concerns in collaboration with senior management; maintaining a safe and secure store environment by implementing loss prevention measures.
Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, conducting inventory counts, and managing stock discrepancies; collaborating with management to resolve inventory challenges promptly.
Store Security & Closing Procedures: Securing the store at the end of the day, including locking up, setting alarms, and conducting safety checks; preparing the store for the next business day to ensure smooth operations.
Administrative Tasks: Managing accurate records of sales, inventory, schedules, and employee details; assisting with HR responsibilities, such as onboarding new team members.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of two years Management experience.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
A results‑oriented approach with a passion for working in a dynamic retail environment.
Proficiency in sales reporting and visual merchandising techniques.
