A leading Irish main contractor is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. With a long-standing reputation for delivering large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial projects across the country, they offer the chance to work on some of the most high-profile developments in the market.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contract management from pre-construction through to final account. You'll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, with strong support structures in place and a steady pipeline of upcoming work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and costs
2. Oversee subcontractor packages and procurement
3. Support contract negotiations and change management
4. Ensure accurate valuations, progress claims, and final accounts
5. Work closely with project teams to monitor financial performance and risks
Qualifications
6. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
7. 3+ years' experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor
8. Strong commercial and contractual awareness
9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
10. Proficiency with relevant software (e.g. Excel, Buildsoft, CostX, or similar)
11. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
