Role Summary & Role Description
State Street Identity and Access management (IAM) engineering team is looking for outstanding individuals with excellent knowledge in SQL and Unix, entrepreneurial problem-solving skills, strong communications, and influencing capabilities. This role will have a broad range of responsibilities within IAM.
As an application support engineer, you will:
work on maintenance and support in-house IAM applications and expected work in shifts.
Core/Must have skills
Should be proficient in SQL, with strong expertise in writing subqueries, performing complex joins and working with relational database systems.
Strong proficiency in troubleshooting applications developed using Java and SQL.
Solid working knowledge of UNIX commands for system-level operations and diagnostics.
Demonstrated ability to independently create comprehensive documentation, including Root Cause Analyses (RCA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Knowledge Base (KB) articles.
Skilled in managing incident, problem, and change management processes within DevOps environments.
Well-versed in ITIL frameworks, with hands-on experience handling Major Incidents (MI) and high-priority tickets.
Good to have skills
Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, with the ability to read and understand complex queries and procedures.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a small, focused global Scrum team, contributing effectively to agile development cycles.
