About the Vegan Society of Ireland
The Vegan Society of Ireland is a registered charity, originally established in 1978 as the Vegetarian Society of Ireland and officially renamed in 2024. Until now, it has been run entirely on a voluntary basis.
Our mission is to promote veganism as an ethical and sustainable lifestyle choice by advocating for animal rights and educating the public about the impact of their choices on other species and the environment. We aim to be the leading voice on vegan matters in Irish media andto foster a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle that benefits humans, animals and the environment.
We envision a future where veganism is the lifestyle choice of the majority in Ireland, and we advocate for a transition to a fully plant-based agriculture system.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and charitable organisation dedicated to vegan advocacy.
