A significant opportunity has arisen to contribute to Aviva's Motor Casualty Claims Team as a Senior Technical Claims Advisor.
About the Role
While our preference is for the successful candidate to be based in Cork, we are open to candidates being located in Galway or Dublin offices. The successful candidate will assist the Claims Executive in managing the team and providing technical support to team members dealing with Motor Insurers Bureau of Ireland (MIBI) and Insurer Concerned cases.
You will provide guidance and mentorship to team members, identify training needs, and act as a role model for behaviours that promote full compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of complex MIBI and Insurer Concerned claim files.
* Provide technical support and referrals to team members on complex queries.
* Support Senior management in implementing claims strategies agreed by claims management.
* Participate in Risk & Governance management on behalf of the team.
* Escalate individual cases within relevant authorisation limits.
* Ensure accurate claims estimates for assigned portfolios within the team.
* Manage payment authorisation process and quality assurance programme for the team.
Requirements
* APA in Personal and Commercial General Insurance/CIP Qualified.
* Comprehensive understanding of claims handling, legal processes, MIBI Agreements, and the CPC.
* High level of initiative and ability to make real-time decisions based on changing information.
* Problem-solving expertise in managing customer expectations.
* Understanding of litigation processes from District Court to High Court Level.
* Ability to analyse data and MI to improve performance.
