Base pay range
We are looking for a Full-time Kitchen Porter to join our busy Kitchen Team. We are currently looking for someone to work 5 days over 7 days. There are two shifts; Morning shift which runs from 8.00am to 4.30pm or the evening shift is approximately 4:00pm to closing (approx 11pm or midnight).
Responsibilities
* Clean all operating catering equipment with full care for handling and storage.
* Clean all pots and pans in pot wash area/plate wash.
* Cleaning of plates, cups and all crockery
* To assist with food preparation for the kitchen including peeling and preparing vegetables as directed by Chefs
* Assist in staff canteen with cleaning duties and clearing of food (plates) etc.
* Removal of all rubbish bags in the Kitchen areas.
* Cleaning of kitchen according to cleaning schedule program provided by Head Chef.
* To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum at all times.
* To always operate in a clean, hygienic manner, keeping both person and surrounding work areas as clean as possible at all times and conforming to company hygiene regulations ensuring that all areas are washed down at the end of your shift.
* To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times in all areas of the hotel particularly the food production areas.
* To comply with all statutory and legal requirements and Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, licensing and Employment, ensuring that you are fully aware and practice the Hotels policies and procedures.
Please note that this is a busy and physically demanding role.
