Role Description
The Supply Chain – Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, materials, and information throughout the supply chain. This role plays a critical part in coordinating procurement, inventory, warehousing, and transportation activities to achieve timely delivery and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with strong organizational and communication skills to maintain seamless coordination between internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, tracking, and delivery management.
* Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
* Support procurement activities by assisting with order processing, vendor communication, and purchase documentation.
* Prepare and maintain shipping, import/export, and customs documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Track and report on key logistics performance indicators such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and order accuracy.
* Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
* Collaborate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to align supply chain operations with business needs.
* Resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure proper documentation and data accuracy within ERP or inventory management systems.
* Support the implementation of logistics strategies, policies, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
* Assist in supplier evaluation and performance tracking to maintain reliable partnerships.
* Contribute to sustainability initiatives and cost optimization efforts within the supply chain.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across logistics activities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 2–5 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or inventory management.
* Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation, and warehouse management principles.
* Proficiency in ERP or logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal teams and vendors.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret logistics data and suggest operational improvements.
* Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and compliance standards is an advantage.
