Department: Manufacturing/Production Reports to: Production Supervisor Position Type:Full Time Day Shift Monday Friday (39 hours) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup: Set up and configure CNC machines, including loading programs, selecting tooling, and adjusting machine parameters to meet job specifications. Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components. Monitor machine operation to ensure parts meet the required specifications. Quality Control: Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments, ensuring they meet all required tolerances and specifications. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality. Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and perform basic maintenance to keep the machines running smoothly. Report any issues that require further attention to supervisors or maintenance staff. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production data, and any adjustments made during the machining process. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company safety policies. Adhere to all industry standards and regulations while working in a safe and clean environment. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to discuss technical requirements and optimize production processes. Qualifications: Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of CNC machine operation, set-up procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Experience with CNC controls, including G-code programming (desired but not required). Strong mechanical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-axis CNC machines. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software. Certifications or additional training in CNC machining or manufacturing. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery. Capable of working in a fast-paced, target production driven environment with deadlines.
