Financial Analyst II - Dublin - Hybrid - 12 month contract

This person will be a member of the Global Commercial Finance team at ICON. The role of the Commercial Finance team at ICON is the pre & post award negotiation and management of commercial terms, at both partnership and transactional levels, that maximize downstream financial and operational performance and minimize the associated legal and contractual risks.
The Role:
Support Director Commercial Finance in establishing and maintain full global Commercial Finance control and accountability across the ISS division
Work with our strategic alliance clients to construct and negotiate enterprise level commercial terms tailored to meet their individual needs
Coordinate and prepare client-focused budgets and client grids for new business opportunities and ensure all requested information is provided in the final proposal within given timeframe
Chair kick-off and resource meetings and coordinate the participation of appropriate personnel in the financial modelling development process
Provide high quality, timely support to the Proposals team to ensure client proposals are commercially sound
Liaise with the appropriate personnel including Business Development Team, strategic proposal development and operations throughout the rate and budget generation to ensure that the proposal and strategy meets the business needs in line with triage priority
Prepare costs for proposals by interacting with operational departments to coordinate costs and assumptions
Clarify contract specifications with the Commercial Finance Manager; Project Manager; and/or Account Manager (where appropriate)
Maintain filing and tracking tools in accordance with accepted practices
Undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:
Qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business.
Experience within a financial analysis position
You will really enjoy working cross functionally and collaborating with various functions
The ability to distil and summarize large data sets and present to non-financial clients
Analytically minded, seeks out problem solving opportunities
Emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks at a time
Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills and proficient with Word
