Position description The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team to ensure the effective delivery of all supply chain work programmes. This role requires a strong focus on operational excellence, team performance, and continuous improvement, while ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of materials. The successful candidate will join a team of supervisors responsible for inbound logistics, outbound distribution and inventory management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a teamin the safe, efficient, and cost-effective handling, storage, and delivery of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Utilise systems such as EWM/SAPto manage inventory, maintain accurate stock levels, and conduct regular stock takes and reconciliations. Coordinate material logisticsbetween Dublin Supply Stores Warehouse, Logistic Team and Depots, including emergency response during critical events (e.g. storms). Drive process improvements, support key projects, and ensure alignment with operational goals and environmental standards. Set and monitor team and individual performance goals, providing coaching, support, and task allocation to optimise productivity. Foster strong relationshipswith internal and external stakeholders, promote open communication, and encourage a collaborative team environment. Monitor progress and manage information flow, ensuring timely reporting and effective decision-making across the team and organisation. Manage contractor partnerships to maintain performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across supply chain operations Experience and Qualifications Essential Minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain/Logistics, with prior experience in supply chain people management. Excellent IT skills, particularly in SAP and Microsoft Office Applications, especially Microsoft Excel. Experience in safety management, including conducting audits, performance reviews, and coaching. Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team, including training and mentoring staff. Strong experience in managing relationships with stakeholders. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Full clean driver's licence Desirable A third level qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. Location This position will be based in Dublin Supply Stores, Ballycoolin, Dublin 15.
