Business Development
The
Business Development Associate
provides strategic insights and data-driven analysis to support the marketing, commercial, and broader business functions. This role focuses on technical sales support, market research, trend analysis, competitive intelligence, and financial modeling to guide key decision-making, enhance marketing performance, and drive business growth. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to optimize strategies and ensure alignment with market needs and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis

* Conduct primary and secondary research to gather insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor strategies
* Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and areas for competitive differentiation
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, including customer segments, buying patterns, and industry developments

Competitive Intelligence

* Monitor and analyze competitor activities, product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives
* Prepare detailed reports outlining competitor positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and strategic actions
* Provide actionable insights to commercial and marketing teams to inform strategic decisions

Business & Financial Analysis

* Support the development of business cases, financial models, and forecasts for potential market opportunities or business investments
* Track and analyze business performance against KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
* Provide ongoing performance analysis of marketing campaigns to assess ROI and guide optimization efforts

Marketing Strategy Support

* Collaborate with the marketing team to evaluate current campaigns and strategic initiatives
* Deliver data-driven recommendations for improving targeting, messaging, and positioning
* Assist in developing marketing plans based on market insights and financial analysis

Reporting & Communication

* Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on market conditions, business performance, and key insights
* Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Develop dashboards, presentations, and visualization tools to highlight key data trends

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with product, sales, and finance teams to ensure alignment between market insights, business objectives, and commercial strategy
* Provide analytical support to drive informed business decisions across the organization

Trend Spotting & Strategic Recommendations

* Stay current on industry developments, emerging technologies, and shifts in consumer behavior
* Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and strategic areas for growth
* Make recommendations that help the company adapt in a dynamic market environment

Technical Sales Support & Opportunity Development

* Support the sales pipeline through technical discovery, needs analysis, and opportunity qualification
* Assist in creating technical service proposals, quotes, and statements of work in partnership with engineering and operations
* Clearly articulate the value proposition of technical services by translating capabilities into business outcomes

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field
* Internship experience or 0–2 years of related experience in market research, data analysis, or business strategy
* Understanding of foundational business concepts, including market segmentation, competitive analysis, and SWOT frameworks
