What You Will Do
Our Technology Solutions Group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are looking for you to build out scalable applications to support our Portfolio Management, Compliance, Finance, Data Governance, Operational Risk, and Human Resources teams. You will need in-depth technical knowledge of Java or Python, strong SQL, and comfort with large internal and external data sets. If this sounds interesting, PGIM could be the place for you.
What You Can Expect
Responsibilities include the following, with a focus on CI/CD, reliability engineering, and collaboration with development teams:
* Combine CI/CD and Reliability engineering for software systems in AWS and Azure platforms.
* Work closely with development teams to understand design challenges, propose technical solutions, and assist with implementation.
* Identify opportunities for self-service automation of CI/CD processes and tools; ensure continuous, high-velocity build, test, and delivery of software solutions through DevOps automation.
* Develop automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, source code management, and new ways to operate and collaborate.
* Implement comprehensive service metrics to track and report on system reliability, performance, and efficiency.
* Identify end-user requirements and develop metrics to measure Web apps, Data analytics, and ETL processes. Establish SLO/SLA, performance measurements, and failure mitigation for such processes.
* Use programming languages including Python, Shell/Power scripting, Groovy, GO, JavaScript, and Terraform frameworks.
* Bring an engineering mindset with strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills; work with agile methods; show an inclusive attitude.
What You Will Bring
* 3-5 years of proven experience in DevOps, Platform, or SRE engineering.
* Strong experience with deploying, managing, and monitoring services in AWS/Azure.
* Hands-on experience with source control (Git, GitHub) and feature branching strategies.
* Experience developing workflows in CI/CD orchestration tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
* Understanding of networking, DNS, routing, and messaging between services.
* Experience with microservice architectures and building observability for services.
* Knowledge of software development best practices and industry trends.
* Familiarity with software engineering domains: Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Shell, Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code.
* Issue tracking and versioning (Jira).
* Package managers (pip, npm) and build tools (Gradle, Maven).
* Containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Artifact repositories and deployment tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform).
* Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.
* Strong verbal communication skills for both the development community and business leaders; strong documentation skills.
* Excellent initiative, curiosity, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
What Will Set You Apart
* AWS and Azure Cloud Certifications.
* Experience in application development (Python, Groovy, JavaScript).
* Ability to learn new skills and knowledge through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
* Familiarity with application security domains (static code analysis, SAST, DAST, SCA, xSPM).
* Financial industry experience.
