Due to ongoing development, our client is now seeking an
Automation Engineer
to join their team.
The Role
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and technology, with a strong emphasis on
communication, coordination, and continuous improvement
.
The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring that production systems are connected, optimised, and effectively supporting the wider business.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting and maintaining
automated production and control systems
across site
Working closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to improve system performance
Acting as a
link between technical and non-technical teams
, ensuring clear communication across departments
Troubleshooting and resolving issues across electrical and automated systems
Supporting upgrades, modifications, and ongoing improvement projects
Coordinating with external suppliers and partners where required
Assisting with system integration, data flow, and process visibility across the plant
Documenting systems and supporting knowledge sharing within the team
This is a collaborative role where strong communication and teamwork are just as important as technical ability.
The Candidate
Our client is seeking an engineer with:
Experience in
automation, controls, or industrial engineering environments
Exposure to
PLC systems, sensors, and electrical control systems
Strong
communication skills
, with the ability to work across different teams
A collaborative approach and confidence engaging with operations, engineering, and external stakeholders
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
Interest in modern manufacturing technologies and system integration
A background in manufacturing or production environments would be a strong advantage.
