The Team and the Opportunity
As part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Solution Architect role is pivotal in enabling clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. We are looking for a Data Architect passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.
You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first‑class customer experience on high‑profile engagements.
The Data Analytics and AI team serves as trusted advisors, embedding innovative analytics solutions and transforming data into strategic assets.
Working across all industries, you’ll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. As a senior manager, you will assess and improve client reporting policies and corporate governance processes, impacting these complex areas during transformational and regulatory changes.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets using different Data and Analytics technologies.
* Adapt your leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs, anticipating and identifying risks and escalating issues as appropriate.
* As an influential team member, create a positive learning culture and coach junior members, sharing best practices, industry trends, and technical knowledge to foster professional growth.
* Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, integration, storage, and governance based on industry best practices and client‑specific requirements.
* Hands‑on experience in data modelling techniques to create Enterprise Data Models.
* Implement data management concepts (Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Testing).
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
* Conduct assessments of existing data architectures, identify improvement areas, and recommend remediation plans to optimize data management processes and systems.
* Develop data migration strategies and oversee execution, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to client operations.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert insights and recommendations on data architecture, governance, quality, and security matters.
* Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards and provide thought leadership to drive innovation and enhance our consulting offerings.
To qualify for the role, you must have
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with a proven track record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
* Strong academic record, including a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
* Proven expertise in data modelling and database designs such as ER models, dimensional models, data vaults, and hierarchical/network data models.
* Extensive experience developing code for both SQL and NoSQL databases, proficient across various platforms both on‑prem and in cloud.
* Extensive knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL processes, and data warehouse design.
* Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or cloud‑based services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for large‑scale processing and analytics.
* Understanding of data quality principles and practices, including profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
* Ability to create comprehensive documentation for data models, processes, and governance frameworks.
* Proven experience modelling and handling real‑time data streams using technologies such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink for real‑time analytics.
* Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks and practices.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to understand complex business requirements and design innovative solutions.
* Excellent client‑facing skills, building rapport and communicating effectively at various organizational levels.
* Strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding and mentoring a team of consultants and driving successful project outcomes.
Ideally, you will also have
* Demonstrated ability to keep pace with industry trends and apply best practices to data strategy and operations.
* Strong consulting experience, providing strategic advice and practical solutions to business challenges.
* Familiarity with a wide range of database technologies, both traditional and modern, including relational, NoSQL, and cloud‑based platforms.
