About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation Manager to lead our Accommodation department, encompassing Housekeeping, Public Areas and Laundry operations.
This is a key operational management role within the hotel, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and comfort throughout the property, while leading and developing a large, diverse team. The Accommodation Manager plays a vital role in guest satisfaction, operational efficiency and the overall success of the Rooms Division.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accommodation department, including Housekeeping, Public Areas and Laundry.
* Ensure all guest bedrooms and public areas consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and brand excellence.
* Plan, organise and manage daily work schedules and staffing levels in line with business needs and occupancy.
* Liaise closely with Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless room availability and guest flow.
* Recruit, train, mentor and develop Accommodation team members, fostering a positive, motivated and high-performing culture.
* Implement, monitor and continuously improve SOPs, service standards and quality controls.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits, addressing maintenance and operational issues promptly.
* Manage departmental budgets, stock control, linen and cleaning supplies effectively.
* Strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction through strong leadership and engagement.
* Lead by example with a hands-on, professional and approachable management style.
* Carry out Duty Management shifts as required.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene and company policies at all times.
What You Bring
* A degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within Accommodation/Housekeeping.
* Previous experience as an Accommodation Manager or Assistant Accommodation Manager in a similar-sized or quality-focused hotel.
* Strong leadership, organisational and people-management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and a passion for high standards.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Commercial awareness with an understanding of cost control and efficiency.
* Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced operational environment.
* Excellent grooming standards and a professional presence.
* Fluent spoken and written English.
