Start your path to aWGNSTAR career todayThe Purpose of the RoleAs a Shift Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for all matters arising in Operational activities on your shift, as well as all people's management activities within your rostered team. You will champion and drive the core values of the company and act as a leader to your team.Person SpecificationProven leadership skills and experienceTechnical aptitudeA strong team playerHave excellent organisational and time keeping skillsAbility to lead and motivate a team - act as a leader and mentorPhysical stamina to work the duration of a 12-hour shiftWork ScheduleCompressed Work Week within a 4-shift cycle, 12-hour shifts (day & night including weekends)Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerformance Management - acting as first point of contact for all complaints and carrying out grievance and disciplinary procedures as relevantWeekly, Monthly, Quarterly one-2-one meetings for overall teamManaging all escalation's that may arise within your areaAccountable for the creation of communications and distribution to all employees in conjunction with the Director of Operations and HR DepartmentSoftworks System Administration - Responsibility for all timesheet creations, amendments and approvalsAbsence Management & Approve shift changes, vacation approval and organisation of coverage, absence coverage and overtime needs - reflecting as relevant in SoftworksR&R AdministrationPerformance Reviews and RatingsInvolved in internal and external recruitment, candidate identification, interviews and offer recommendationsLiaising with the HR Department on a regular basisSafetyManages safety training requirementsSafety incident/accident investigationOwns safety for all areas on shiftOwn investigation on accidents / incidents and sign off for delivery to insurance companyAccountable for ensuring spec adherence is maintained, and that safety and quality requirements remain a focus at all timesAccountable for area understanding of required safety standards and compliance to training requirementsAccountable for SCUBS and AAR'sQualityRuns Ops meeting and owns AR's (Actions Required)Champions Metrics (assign overall responsibility for Metrics)Gathers performance management dataRotating attendance at area pass down meetingsCreate documents from learnings and complete trainingReview all AR Creations & AnalysisPresent area KPI's to CustomerPopulates DashboardPresents focus meetings/stand-downs/toolbox talksOwns data collection and report managementDrives core valuesAccountable and mentors on root cause analysisMonitor group training inclusive of direct reportsCustomerPrimary Customer POC and delivery of priority changes to service and team.Monitor and control customer dashboard with comms and general interactionAttend Customer meetingsAny other duties as reasonably required as part of the role.Role RequirementsLevel 7 Management qualification desired but not essentialExperience in a leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing environment or similar industryAbility to prioritise and maintain oversight across several functional areasStrong working knowledge of Microsoft office - with working knowledge of ExcelWorking knowledge of Time & Attendance system management and functional useAbility to wear PPE in a Cleanroom environment100% compliance with all safety and protocol specs and regulationsPhysical RequirementsHave strong physical stamina to have the ability to stand, stoop, walk and reach for the duration of a 12-hour shift (breaks excluded)Benefits Of Working With WGNSTARDiscounted rates of on-site facilitiesFree on-site car parkingReward & Recognition ProgrammeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeLearning and developmentOpportunities for career progressionThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
