OverviewNetwork Engineering Manager – Cork or Dublin (Hybrid)The Network Engineering Manager is a role with strong focus and experience on both traditional on-prem networking and Cloud networking, as well as SDWAN. This role requires the candidate to be comfortable leading a team of network administrators/engineers, located around the globe, with a strong focus on Operations and Support. The candidate will need strong budgetary skills and be competent in talking to all levels of the organisation.This position is part of the Network Team and reports to the SVP of Infrastructure Services – Network. This role interacts closely with IT architects, engineering groups, system admins, application support, and development groups worldwide.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage global network connectivity and network operationsLead, mentor, and develop a distributed team, including a Network Manager reporting into this roleManage a substantial annual budget in the region of €13–14 millionOversee and administer a complex network estate including:Cisco, Meraki, NexusPalo Alto Firewalls and GlobalProtect VPNSD-WAN technologiesF5 load balancing solutionsDrive network automation initiatives using scripting and tools such as Python and AnsibleLead new network implementations and provide oversight on previous deploymentsAct as a senior technical and operational stakeholder, engaging with leadership across the businessOccasional international travel, including quarterly visits to the US and ad-hoc travel within EuropeRequired Experience & SkillsExtensive experience managing enterprise-scale network environmentsStrong hands-on and leadership experience with Cisco, Meraki, Nexus, Palo Alto, SD-WAN, and F5Experience owning and managing large operational budgetsExposure to network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible or similar)Background delivering and supporting large-scale network implementationsComfortable operating in a global, multi-time-zone environment and engaging with senior stakeholders
