Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Teaching Associate in Archaeology to join our academic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to contribute to the teaching and development of our undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Archaeology.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing modules, contributing to programme development and review, and liaising with stakeholders to develop external partnerships and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

* Teaching and Assessment: Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Archaeology to a high standard, as agreed with the Programme Leader or designated nominee.
* Programme Development: Contribute to programme development and review, including contributing to course design, module content and assessment strategies, under the guidance of the Programme Leader.
* Partnerships and Collaborations: Liaise closely with other academic staff, industry partners, and relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain external partnerships and collaborations that enhance student learning experience and employability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will need:

* A postgraduate qualification (MA/MSc/PhD) in a relevant discipline such as Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Classics, or related fields.
* A minimum of one year's experience of teaching Archaeology at tertiary level, or two years' experience in a related field.
* Research potential commensurate with career stage.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

While not essential, prior experience of lecturing on a range of topics within Archaeology, including surveying, excavation methods, material culture analysis, and cultural resource management, would be advantageous.
