The Role
We are seeking a Line Manager who will support and lead a department and team to deliver excellent shopping experiences for our customers. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, this role will ensure we serve Ireland’s shoppers a little better each day.
* Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
* Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager/Deputy Manager
* Ensure team members are fully trained and validated in their roles
* Foster two-way communication and a culture of trust
* Coach and manage colleagues to meet daily priorities and deliver excellent customer service
* Review reports and systems to identify improvements for customers and colleagues
* Drive a culture of zero food waste by managing date codes and food safety
* Recruit passionate colleagues committed to customer service
* Understand and deliver cleaning standards through leading by example
* Manage stock control, warehouse layout, and routines to ensure efficiency
* Address pricing errors, refunds, and label routines to ensure accurate charges
* Manage front-end operations to minimize customer queuing
* Recognize and give feedback on colleagues’ service performance
Candidates for the 'Line Manager' role should demonstrate:
* Passion for delivering excellent customer and colleague experiences
* Adaptability and agility in thinking
* Ability to meet objectives in a fast-paced environment
* Being the go-to person for departmental queries
* Influencing and shaping at senior levels
* Previous retail experience in a similar role (preferred)
