ATG are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee construction works on port infrastructure projects on Inis Oírr.
The role will be site-based and responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, in accordance with design, specifications, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Engineer's Representative on site for port and marine works.
Supervise contractors' activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Monitor quality, programme, and health & safety performance.
Inspect works, witness testing, and certify completed works.
Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
Liaise with contractors, designers, local authorities, and island stakeholders.
Support environmental and coastal protection requirements.
Skills & Experience
Experience as Resident Engineer or Site Engineer on marine, coastal, or port projects.
Strong understanding of civil engineering works, including concrete, marine structures, and earthworks.
Knowledge of Irish construction standards, health & safety, and contract administration.
Ability to work independently in a remote, island-based environment.
