The Role:
Accounting Manager is a key position within the Finance Department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under US GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and procedures, with experience in analysing financial information and preparing results.
Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual corporate reports under US GAAP, including account analysis and reconciliation, and preparing inputs to month-end reports.
* Responsible for annual financial reporting to local statutory authorities under IFRS and local GAAP.
* Reconciliation between US GAAP and local GAAP accounting.
* Detailed analytical review of financial data and presenting to senior leadership on the financial performance of the entities.
* Review entity profitability monthly to understand deviations and support Global Transfer Pricing team as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, with knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS, and familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls. Strong technical accounting skills, with proven ability to develop effective working relationships and manage multiple deliverables. Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
Organisational Relationships:
Heavy interaction with Finance Department management and staff, cost centre managers and external auditors. Regular contact with Finance staff in Dublin, Cork, EMEA, Canada and the US.
