Our Client is urgently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their established team onsite in their West Cork office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the financial operations of a growing company, ensuring robust systems and tax compliance. Key Responsibilities: Processing payments, receipts, and invoices accurately and efficiently. Generating sales invoices. Assisting with the preparation of management accounts using Sage50. Reconciling the bank account and cash for other operational activities. Maintaining and updating a Microsoft Access database. Managing the company's debtors and creditors to optimise working capital. Ensuring the company is tax compliant for Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) and VAT. Maintaining robust and compliant financial systems. Liaising with foresters nationwide to assist with costings, returns, grant applications, and other ad hoc queries. Communicating effectively with foresters and the Department of Agriculture regarding forestry grants. Ensuring timely communication with all clients. Key Requirements: 2-3 Years Experience in a similar role within the Irish market Knowledge of SAGE50 is essential to Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Adest desired Proven accuracy and attention to detail in all financial tasks. Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise key functions. Technically strong with the ability to leverage financial data to drive business performance.
