Job Details
* Shift: 7AM-3:30PM
* Schedule: 2 days per week one week and 3 days the other (alternating), including every other weekend
* Looking for a generalist with experience in hematology and chemistry
Responsibilities
Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures. Assesses competency of team members. Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner. Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols. Serves as Charge Technologist. May instruct and observe student technologists. Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff. Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment. Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.

Education and Certification Requirements
Bachelors (Required). Clinical Lab Supervisor License (SU LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL), Clinical Lab Technologist License (TN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL).
Additional Job Information
Complexity of Work: Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience required as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Associate’s degree with five (5) years or more of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Bachelor’s degree required to assess competency. Additional Cert/License Info: Florida State License as a Technologist (TN License) or Supervisor (SU License) in the area of responsibility.
