About the Role:
The role of a Corporate Communications Specialist is to support the communications team with consumer and corporate communications, implementing strategic priorities.
* Supports communications strategies aligned with company goals
* Delivers events including awards ceremonies, season finales, media launches, and yard visits
* Assists in production of corporate publications and print materials
* Maintains corporate website and shared mailboxes
* Provides administration support for various committees and forums
* Manages press office and stakeholder databases
Key Responsibilities:
* Serves as an integral part of the communications team, providing expert advice on communications strategy
* Develops and implements communications plans, ensuring timely and effective execution
* Collaborates with colleagues to achieve business objectives
* Maintains accurate records of communications activities and outcomes
* Remains up-to-date with industry trends and developments
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline
* An understanding of the horse racing industry is desirable
* Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation
* Strong attention to detail with high-quality work output
* Ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive environment
* Proficiency with content management systems and digital communication tools
* Ability to develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders
* Self-motivated and quick to learn
* A collaborative team player demonstrating flexibility and a proactive work ethic
* Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and integrity, ensuring that all sensitive and GDPR-related information is safeguarded in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
