Credit Controller
Arrabawn Tipperary – Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. The Credit Controller reports to the Group Credit Manager and is responsible for managing credit and collections processes to ensure timely payments from customers, minimise bad debts, and maintain strong customer relationships. This role is key to supporting the financial stability and operations of the Co‑op.
Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and adherence to agreed credit terms.
* Liaise with sales representatives and branch managers on assigned customers.
* Assess customer accounts, review credit limits in line with company policy.
* Proactively identify and resolve credit control issues and escape for escalation when necessary.
* Follow up on overdue accounts by phone, email and written correspondence.
* Resolve customer invoice queries promptly and effectively in collaboration with sales.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment history.
* Produce regular reports on aged debtors for senior management.
* Support the month‑end close process by reconciling customer accounts and posting necessary adjustments.
* Download daily bank debtor payments and forward to relevant staff for posting to debtor accounts.
* Continuously review and improve credit control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
* Ad‑hoc duties as required within the role.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field (preferred).
* Minimum 2–3 years of credit control or accounts receivable experience.
* Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Core.
* Further credit control training is an advantage.
* Familiarity with farming or rural/agricultural customer base is a plus.

* Solid negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
* Competency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
