About the Live In Care Role:

* Residency: This is a live-in position, requiring you to reside in the client's home.
* Working Hours:Your active work schedule is 8 hours per day, with flexibility in scheduling these hours based on the client's needs and routines. This schedule will be discussed and agreed upon with you and the client.
* Overnight Presence:As this is a live-in position, you will reside in the client's home. Your presence is required overnight; however, this time is designated for rest and isnotconsidered active work time. You will have dedicated rest periods as agreed upon with the client.
* Care Duties: Your responsibilities include assisting with light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication management and assistance, mobility support, and meal preparation.

They may require assistance with various daily tasks, from personal care to household chores. Each client is unique, with their own personality, preferences, and needs. You'll be working closely with them to provide personalised support that enhances their quality of life.
* We carefully consider your experience, skills, and preferences, as well as the client's individual needs and personality, when making client placements. We strive to create mutually beneficial matches that ensure both client and carer satisfaction.

About you:

* FETAC Level 5 in Healthcare: Completed, currently enrolled with modules completed, or actively pursuing completion.
* Compassionate Caregiver: Demonstrable empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
* Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients and families.
* Experience with Diverse Needs: Comfortable assisting elderly, disabled, and post-operative clients.
* Care Plan Adherence: Proficient in following care plans and adapting as needed.
* Medication Support: Capable of providing medication reminders.
* Problem Solver: Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Confidentiality: Maintain client confidentiality and respect privacy.
* Background Check: Willingness to undergo background and reference checks.
* Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital devices (tablets, computers, smartphones) for documentation and record updates.

Preferred Experience:

* 1+ years of professional experience in home care or a related healthcare setting.
* Experience with telehealth or virtual care platforms.

Additional Expectations:

* Adaptability to new technologies.
