About Your New Job as a Mechanical Engineer
As the Mechanical Engineer based at Limerick Works, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for supporting plant maintenance and large-scale improvement projects, including:
* Working as part of the multi-disciplinary maintenance team, managing specific plant process areas and ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance are completed.
* Planning and overseeing major shutdowns and overhauls, managing contractors on specific projects, troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues to improve plant availability.
* Leading the scoping, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover of large-scale plant improvement projects that deliver business value and efficiency gains.
What Skills You Need as Mechanical Engineer
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* A qualification as a Mechanical Engineer or similar.
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar industrial maintenance or project engineering role.
* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in heavy industry.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven technical competence with strong commercial acumen.
* Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
* A detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently while meeting project deadlines.
* A proven track record of contributing value to previous employers’ operational performance.
