Senior Windows Engineer My Dublin based client is looking for a Windows Server Engineer for a contract role that could last 2 years but initially 6 month start.
This is a day rate contract and the client is looking for a solid 2nd level with some 3rd level System Server admin skills.
The role is pretty much remote working but the client is Dublin based.
Key Skills: Windows servers server management experience.
Windows 2008 R2 up to 2022 + Cluster management experience.
Strong server administration experience required (2nd Level with some 3rd level needed).
Network infrastructure experience including storage, traffic management, DNS, Infoblox, Active Directory interactions Support, design and implement infrastructure technologies and solutions.
These can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open source packages and solutions.
Basic coding and scripting - You can talk to developers as well as translate BL need to the development needs and environment.
Some SQL query experience is essential.
Understand security, accessibility and version control.
Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements.
You can take full accountability for the actions taken and decisions made.
You can understand and identify problems, analyzing and helping to identify the appropriate solution.
You can classify and prioritize problems, document their causes and implement remedies.
Level 1, 2 and 3 issues.
DR planning/exercises as well as maintenance of Service Continuity Plans, BCP exercises and input into the BCP processes and plans On call support and Production application support to prioritize app outages, client outages Proactive lifecycle best practices Change management processes Incident management and escalation for single users or client issues Performance monitoring Vendor management - access, training, certificates and licenses Ability to work across the board with other security, storage, system architecture and other infrastructure groups Communication skills.
Interact with a wide array of people and personalities, including non-technical managers and business analysts.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to express and present ideas clearly and concisely.
Desirable: VSphere knowledge including SRM - advantageous Citrix knowledge - advantageous Firewall rule maintenance for applications Educational Requirements Third level degree or good Certifications.
