Reservations, Meetings and Events Agent– The Samuel


Are you ready for the next step in your career? We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Reservations Agent, who will be in charge of the Meetings and Events bookings in the excellent Samuel Hotel.


Objective of the Role


Reporting directly to the Revenue Manager and Reservations Manager, while working closely with the Sales, Reception & F&B teams, to ensure the maximization of both rooms & Meeting room sales opportunities.


Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Ensure the day-to-day duties are carried out in line with the reservations & Meeting room standards, providing quality service to our guests in accordance with statutory, health and safety requirements.
2. Ensure all guests receive a warm and friendly welcome, both on the phone and in person where appropriate. Ensure organizers of all Meetings are met prior to the start of their meeting to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Anticipate guests' needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and in turn enhance guest satisfaction.
4. Assist in the maximization of room revenue and meeting room revenue.
5. Liaise with the duty manager & F&B departments when agreeing on the menu for meeting rooms.
6. Complete department checklists as set out by the revenue department.
7. Work closely with the sales department to ensure to pass every new business lead to the Sales team.
8. Ensure our guests' requests are honored and assist with meeting rooms set-up and service when requested.
9. Be an ambassador of our values and focus at all times on the development and improvement of our Procedures.


The ideal candidate:


1. Available to work Monday to Saturday.
2. Fluent level of English.
3. Minimum 1-year previous experience as a Receptionist, Reservation Agent or Meeting & Events Agent is preferable.
4. Excellent communication and customer skills.
5. Great team leader who can lead and motivate the hotel team towards excellence.
6. Can prioritize and delegate what needs to be done.
7. Excellent presentation skills.
8. A real hospitality professional who wants to work their way up.
