The Role
Tesco Ireland is currently seeking to appoint a Line Manager for ______ who will have responsibility for supporting and leading a department and a team of people to deliver the best shop for our customers.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and coach your team to deliver the best shopping trip for customers by ensuring great service, standards and product availability
Deliver all key performance indicators for your departments
Lead a team, making decisions daily to support them in their roles
Deliver the training plan, ensuring all colleagues receive quality training, are validated to do their job and have an up-to-date training card
Ensure all processes, routines and systems for your departments are completed accurately and on time
Plan seasonal, trade-driving and promotional activities to maximise sales, impact and presentation
Be responsible for safe and legal routines within your departments, with plans to address any issues
Ensure colleagues understand the importance of the "what" and the "how"; set objectives, conduct regular reviews, career discussions and maintain a live PDP
Provide regular coaching and feedback to improve team skills across the store
Coach the team to identify and address behavioural issues to improve the customer shopping trip
Foster an environment that encourages innovation and personal growth
Model a culture where customers love to shop and colleagues love to work

Experience & Skills
You will be responsible for
Always put the customer first in all actions
Get to know customers and serve them with pride
Ensure products and services are available for customers at all times
Handle all products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition
Keep shop floor and back areas clean and tidy
Follow department routines and processes using the training received
Adhere to all company policies and Health & Safety routines
Be prepared to support colleagues in other departments when needed
You will need
Experience
Must have previous management experience
Demonstrated track record for the Line Manager role includes delivering customer and colleague outcomes
Adaptable and agile in thinking; able to deliver key objectives in a fast-paced environment
Approachability as the "Go To" person for department queries
Experience in shaping and influencing at senior levels; prior retail experience is preferred
Leadership Skills & Style
Build strong relationships with colleagues inside and outside the store; work collaboratively to deliver results
Warm, welcoming leadership that puts people first; recognise others and show enthusiasm
Use energy and resilience to maintain momentum in challenging environments; make tough decisions while staying true to values
