Job Description

Job Purpose
To work with the Learning & Development Manager to develop identified training needs for teams across the organisation. To include the delivery of internal training and induction in line with the organisations model of care and as guided by the National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres.
About The Role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, organise & facilitate mandatory training
* Liaise with external facilitators, organising training dates and training needs.
* Maintain your own training calendar, organise training resources and be prepared for the facilitation of training.
* Maintain accurate records of all staff training completed and follow systems in place to maintain these records
* Provide Monthly training evaluations to the Learning & Development Manager following completion of Training
* Monitor attendance and liaise with home management/teams/regional managers where there is non- attendance and follow escalation policy where appropriate.
* Ensure all recording is completed that demonstrates training attendance/audits/training material.
Co-ordinate Induction Programme
* Liaise with Learning & Development Manager in relation to number and details of participants.
* Work alongside Recruitment and Onboarding departments in preparation for Induction of new staff
* Prepare all paperwork for induction
* Liaise with Session Facilitators.
* Set up zoom links/teams as required
* Facilitate smooth delivery of the programme.
* Ensure all records are updated appropriately.
* Liaise with Learning & Development Manager in relation to number and details of participants
* Ensure all records are updated appropriately
Facilitate TCI training
* Facilitate TCI Initial Training for all new staff
* Facilitate 6 monthly refresher TCI Training for current staffing
* Ensure all staff receive initial certification and timely recertification in TCI to maintain compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with external stakeholders in review of planning and delivery of outcome of training
* Prepare all paperwork and resources required
* Liaise with session facilitators
* Attend monthly meetings with the wider TCI community
* Ensure all records are updated appropriately
* Maintain Associate TCI Trainer certification qualification
Other Duties
* Deliver agreed training such as Fire Safety, Use of Ligature training etc.
* Work alongside Learning & Development Manager in developing identified training for teams as part of the completion of the yearly training needs analysis for all homes.
* Attend refresher training and training on new subject areas as required.
* Provide information for inspections as required.
* Be proficient in Microsoft
* Be an ambassador for all our people within the organisation, driving our vision and values through our culture, policies, procedures and practices.

Essential/Preferable Criteria
* A minimum third level qualification in Social Care
* Minimum of 8 years’ experience of working within a children’s residential environment
* TCI Associate Trainer qualification
* Full Driving Licence
The Person Must Be Able To Demonstrate
* A professional and confident approach to working relationships, both internal & external
* Great communication and literacy skills
* Ability to deliver training confidently
* High level of organisation skills and ability to prioritise
* Flexibility in relation to travelling to various sites to deliver training
