Cpl Recruitment is currently seeking an HR Officer to join a public sector organisation on a 6-month full-time temporary assignment, based in South Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a values-driven, high-performing HR department in a key regulatory body. The HR Officer will report directly to the HR Manager and support a broad range of HR activities, including HR administration, recruitment, employee relations, policy development, and learning and development. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional looking to gain diverse experience in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include:
1. Firstline HR support and mailbox management
2. Recruitment support across all stages of the hiring process
3. Accurate maintenance of HR personnel files and HRIS data
4. Payroll administration support and HR communications
5. Assistance with policy reviews, audits, and compliance
6. Supporting learning and development initiatives and reporting
7. Time and attendance system maintenance and issue resolution
8. Contributing to HR reporting and continuous improvement projects
Requirements:
1. CIPD qualification in Human Resource Management
2. 1+ year's experience in a fast paced HR role
3. Strong admin, communication, and organisational skills
4. Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
5. Comfortable managing sensitive data in line with GDPR
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders
7. A proactive and solution-focused mindset
8. Knowledge of Irish employment law and public sector HR practices
9. Familiarity with digital HR systems and records management
