Senior Operations Manager - South Dublin Our client is a private company within the homecare sector and are now seeking to recruit a talented Senior Operations Manager to join its South Dublin operations. Salary depending on experience. Quarterly performance-based bonus. Office-based role, working Monday Friday 9am 5pm with option of one day work from home after 6 months. 25 days Holidays, Paid Car Parking. Statutory Sick Pay. Applicants considered will have a Healthcare or Business Degree (or relevant equivalent), or higher and a minimum of 3 years Senior Management experience in a home care company in roles such as Clinical Nurse Manager, Care Manager, Area Manager, Client Services Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager or Team Leader and will have demonstrated leadership ability with strong commercial and clinical management experience This is a full-time role, reporting to the Director of Operations and based in the South Dublin office in Sandyford. The Role: To manage all aspects of day-to-day operations for the Dublin South offices located in Dun Laoghaire and Sandyford. To work with the Director of Operations and Senior Managers to achieve the annual revenues, and all other operational goals. To promote and manage the acquisition of new HSE home care packages and ensure recruitment is focused on the priority areas at any given time. To oversee all department functions that serve the catchment areas, to include recruitment and training, shift scheduling, care supervision and client care. To supervise, manage and lead a team of dedicated Care Managers and Schedulers (who in turn coordinate the care team,) to ensure that service levels are maintained to the highest standards. To assist the Quality Managers in overseeing the quality of the service by monitoring client and carer numbers and providing resource and leadership as areas grow or when service or operational challenges arise. To work with the Client Relationship Manager in maximising reach to private clients and to advocate for the needs of all clients as they mature. To be responsible for carer capacity in the region and to grow the business by working closely with recruitment to ensure that the company continue to retain excellent carers and maintain a competitive recruitment presence in the market. To work closely with and supervise the scheduling team to ensure they are utilising all capacity within the existing team, the existing carers are getting sufficient hours and are utilising new starters availability to ensure taking on new home care packages and build high quality schedules. To develop and lead weekly team meetings to include the Care Managers, Schedulers and Care Supervisors, bringing clarity to the weekly activity and agreeing focus and collaboration for the coming week. To create cohesion between the teams, balancing client needs with matching and maximising the retention of quality carers and ensuring company growth and expansion goals. To oversee Care Manager performance ensuring their targets are met and that they are delivering on agreed performance metrics. To take responsibility for managing the on-call team and related scheduling and performance. To lead relationships with the HSE by being the key point of contact, overseeing excellent service-related communication from the support team, fostering a trusting professional relationship. To support tender and SLA preparation and ensure we meet our service level agreements with the HSE. To manage all aspects of HSE Reporting as this requirement grows following the introduction of a Statutory Home Support Scheme and likely HIQA audits. To ensure Quarterly KPIs and all weekly and monthly HSE reports are completed and submitted. To be responsible for all quality issues ensure all internal policies, procedures and our strict Quality Management System is adhered to. To manage 3rd party supplier companies, implementing service level agreements where necessary. To maintain and promote company values and ensure they are communicated clearly to all in the team and be involved at initial induction training to communicate these core values to all new starters to ensure that the team are clearly working towards the same goals. To manage complaint handling and resolution. To be responsible for HR and performance issues. To be responsible for Health and Safety issues & PPE Management. Candidate Requirements: Healthcare or Business Degree (or relevant equivalent), or higher A minimum of 8 years post graduate professional experience Demonstrated leadership ability with strong commercial and clinical management experience Minimum of 3 years experience in Senior Management in a home care company e.g. Care Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, Client Services Manager, Operations Manager, Head of Services, Regional Head of Services, Clinical Nurse Manager, Service Manager, National Support Manager, Care Operations Manager, General Manager, Team Leader Thrive working in a fast-paced and busy office environment Proven business acumen with an ability to balance driving revenue targets with supporting a quality driven service A compassionate nature, and excellent leadership and communication skills Superb organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and multi-task Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative and work under pressure Excellent interpersonal skills in addition to the ability to work independently and manage own time Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong IT aptitude, quick at learning new systems and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) Fluent English speaker Appropriate permission to work full time in Ireland Own Car and Driving License For more information please send your CV to Carol in confidence through the link.
