Job Purpose:To ensure the seafood processing facility is maintained to a high standard, supporting safe, hygienic, and efficient operations. The role involves general building maintenance, minor repairs, and support for equipment upkeep, with a strong focus on hygiene and compliance with food safety standards.Key Responsibilities:General Maintenance:Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building infrastructure (walls, floors, doors, lighting, plumbing).Carry out minor repairs including painting, tiling, carpentry, and basic plumbing.Respond to maintenance requests from production and office areas in a timely manner.Maintain external areas including loading bays, drainage, and waste areas.Facility Support:Assist with setup and relocation of equipment or workstations.Support contractors and engineers during scheduled maintenance or installations.Monitor and maintain hygiene standards in maintenance work, especially in food production zones.Ensure tools and materials are stored safely and securely.Compliance & Safety:Follow all health and safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe working practices.Maintain records of maintenance activities and report any hazards or defects.Support emergency repairs and participate in fire safety and evacuation procedures.Qualifications & Experience:Proven experience in general building maintenance or handyman role.Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.Experience in a food production or hygiene-sensitive environment (preferred).Understanding of HACCP and food safety principles (training can be provided).Skills & Competencies:Practical, hands-on approach with problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Good communication and teamwork skills.Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.Job Type: Full-timePay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountWellness programWork Location: In person
