Job Opportunity: Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sligo on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure pharma manufacturing processes meet safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.
About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting pharma manufacturing processes through collaboration with engineering and operations teams. This includes participating in design discussions to enhance equipment reliability before installation, developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for new equipment, and ensuring commissioning and spare parts are properly identified, received, and cataloged.
The successful candidate will also participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), review and execute commissioning, qualification, and validation protocols according to project schedules, and review process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, specifications, and equipment layouts.
Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will perform daily preventive and demand-based maintenance on manufacturing and utility systems, manage Predictive Maintenance programs, and oversee condition monitoring contracts. They will also support equipment upgrades as part of continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Liaising with internal/external engineering teams and contractors for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning is also an essential aspect of this role.
Requirements
* Certification, Degree or Trade Qualification in Engineering or a relevant field
* Minimum 3 years experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments
* Experience in instrumentation/PLC troubleshooting
A proven track record of success in maintaining equipment, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams is required for this role.
