Accredited Counsellors/Therapists are required for sessional work with the HSE Counselling Primary Care (CIPC) service in Dublin South East & Wicklow East.
What is CIPC?
The HSE National Counselling Service (NCS) has developed a Counselling in Primary Care service (CIPC).
CIPC provides short-term counselling in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 years and over, delivered by professionally qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, and psychologists under the governance of the HSE Directors of Counselling.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
An applicant must possess:
* A recognised Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or an equivalent health and social care or health-related profession.
Plus, one of the following options:
* 2a. Hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognized by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) or a relevant body within the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP).
* 2b. Have full accredited membership with IACP or a relevant body within ICP.
* 2c. Hold a postgraduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
* 2d. Be in the process of registration with PSI or fully registered with the clinical or counselling psychology division of PSI.
Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of two years relevant post-qualification experience. Note that this requirement may be waived for some full-time postgraduate qualifications. A selection process will also be conducted.
