The Award Winning Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa currently has an exciting opportunity for a concierge to join our outstanding Guest Relations teamScope of Role:The concierge's main responsibility is to ensure that guests have a pleasant and enjoyable stayResponsibilities for ConciergeBeing that first point of contact for all guests arriving to Ballygarry and giving a warm welcome to start our guests off on the right track for their stay.Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcome and attended.Luggage service for guestsUmbrella service for guests (depending on weather)Park the guests car if neededKeeping the flow of guests going during a busy shift and helping guests with direction to where they are going in the HotelHelping Reception deal with phone an email inquiry from potential guests in a timely and respectful manner.Offer restaurant and activity recommendations and assist guests in arranging transportation and excursions. Knowledge of the surrounding areas as well as activities to do and contacts in businessEnsure that reception & lobby are clean and tidy at all timesAct as a liaison between guests and any department necessary including the kitchen, housekeeping, restaurant & brasserie for guest requirements and/or requestsAnticipate guests needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional guest experienceBallygarry Corporates - building a knowledge of our regular corporates and going the extra mile to "wow" them and reinstall the reasons why they choose Ballygarry when on the road travelling for work.Wedding Host with guests arriving to Pavilion & Reception entrancesCommunicating the guest's issues to a management, (dealing with small issues on the spot).Reporting any maintenance problems to a maintenance and following up.Looking after the cottage (cleanliness, fire materials, events)Maintaining the front of the car park and entrances of hotel including bikes Looking after VIP arrivals and response for checking guests in to their room and the additional duties that come with that room. Eg. taking dinner and breakfast reservations, courtesy call after check in, liaising with night poster re newspapers in the morningLiaising with Spa & Restaurant 58 to fill availabilityRecommending in-house dining optionsAny task deemed appropriate by hotel management.Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as neededMeeting and greeting guests at special events, parties, or meetings.Fulfilling unusual requestsCoordinating special moments for guestsIn summary, the concierge is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing guest requests and reservations, and providing local information and recommendations to enhance the guest's experience.You must remain totally flexible in your position and may be required to carry out other tasks as directed by management.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Have a strong work ethic, pro-active attitude, keen desire to learn and willingness to take ownership of projects.Previous experience in a customer facing roleAbility to prioritise with good problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHave strong self-management, organisation and administration skillsHigh attention to detailStrong team working skillsPrevious experience in a concierge role or the hospitality industry would be desirable.Ensure Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of service delivery.Fluent EnglishFull Drivers licenceAvailability to work weekends & bank holidaysBenefits:Meals provided while on dutyFree ParkingEmployee Assistance Programme
