Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist Job Opportunity
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced bookkeeper to join our team as a payroll specialist. As a key member of our financial department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing day-to-day transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintaining precise records of client funds and undertaking month-end tasks.
* Processing daily transactions, including bank payments and reconciliations.
* Ensuring full compliance with Law Society Accounting Regulations and dealing with all bank-related matters.
* Managing creditors, invoicing, and assisting with revenue returns.
* Coordinating payroll and managing PRSI/PAYE requirements.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably in a law firm environment.
* Strong knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations.
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and data analysis.
* A recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
